However, our Beloved Prophet, the father of four daughters, gave us the good news that our daughters are the means of mercy and forgiveness for us and said: “Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire.”

After Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had declared his Prophethood, a Companion told him what he had done with his daughter: O Messenger of God, I had a daughter. One day I told her mother to dress her, for I was taking her to her uncle. My poor wife knew what this meant, but could do nothing but obey and weep. She dressed the girl, who was very happy that she was going to see her uncle. I took her near a well, and told her to look down into it. While she was looking into the well, I kicked her into it. While she was rolling down, she was shouting:
“Daddy, Daddy!”
As he was recounting this, the Prophet sobbed as if he had lost one of his nearest kinsfolk.1 Hearts had become hard. Every day a pit was dug in the desert for an innocent girl to be buried. Human beings were more brutal and cruel than hyenas. The powerful crushed the weak. Brutality was taken for humanity, cruelty received approval, the bloodthirsty were exalted, bloodshed was considered a virtue, and adultery and fornication were more common than legal marriage. The family structure had been destroyed. This dark period was followed by Islam. In addition to eradicating all other evils, God declared in the Qur’an: Do not slay your children because of the fear of poverty: We provide for you and for them (6:151).

Those who have dedicated themselves to serving their religion, country and people must never lay claim to achievements, no matter how high a position they are promoted to. They must always retain humility and not entertain any expectations other than God’s good pleasure. They must not attach their hearts to any worldly or otherworldly returns. People devoted to serving humanity on the path of truth must not cherish any ideas such as, “Let me settle this worldly affair of mine; let me have a house where I can live comfortably; let my child achieve this advantageous position…” In addition, they must not associate the services that they carry out with entering Paradise or being saved from Hell, as they must expect these as unmerited favors from Divine grace, providence and protection

Brothers and Sisters! Eid reminded us of being “one”, being “we”. It reminded us how to be a whole like the close-knit bricks of a building, the organs of a body that act together.
Then come, let us look after one another at all times.
Let us maintain the unity, fellowship, intimacy, and fondness.
Let us treat each other every day to the grace and abundance, joy and cheer, peace and tranquility.
Let us never neglect one another,
Let us never abandon others to loneliness and desperation.
Let us lead a life being aware that we are the Ummah of a prophet sent upon the worlds as grace.

Gratitude is protecting ourselves from being a slave to our desires and wants, ambition and greed.
Gratitude is a sign of living on the path of purpose and wisdom of creation.
Gratitude is not to become deaf and blind to the good deeds of people towards us.
Gratitude also requires patiently enduring the poverty, aside from appreciating the wealth.

Nafs is the battleground between the good and the evil.
The history of humankind is full of examples of people and societies who have driven themselves to devastation by following their nafs.
One of the sons of the Prophet Adam (as), Qabil killed his brother Habil, motivated by his ambition, malice, or following his nafs in other words.
The sons of the Prophet Yaqub (as) (Jacob) threw their brother Yusuf into the well because of their jealousy and becoming captives of their nafs. Fir’awn, Namrud, Qarun, Abu Jahl, and similar people all followed their nafs, turned their back on the guidance of the revelation, and by feeling confident in their throne, power, wealth, and own self, they finally became destroyed in this world and doomed to the punishment in the Hereafter.

To quote our Prophet, Friday is the best day on which the sun has risen.
Therefore, Friday is one of the symbols of our Holy Religion of Islam.
Friday is mercy.
Friday is blessing. Friday is peace.

The prayers that our Prophet taught us do not only include asking for material needs. On the contrary, his prayers ask for morals and virtue, merits that elevate a human being.
His prayers are about ensuring love, respect, fondness, mercy, justice, and peace in society.
His prayers are a desire to be guarded against dishonor, living in abomination and in constant need of others, and against immorality.
